STRATEGIC PLAN

2004-2005 Goals:

  • Certification
    • Launch CMA review course
    • Establish a “home” for the CMA review course
    • Locate and recruit qualified instructors
    • Advertise utilizing Holmes Corporation
    • Ensure the chapter at least recovers all expenses related to establishing the CMA Review course
    • Host a CMA/CFM recognition event
  • Education
    • Offer members the opportunity to earn at least 30 CPE attending chapter events
    • Expand seminar plans to include a minimum of two seminars conducted and a third planned
    • Lunch meetings during summer months
  • Membership Objectives
    • Lead the efforts of the chapter to improve current membership retention, acquire new members, increase attendance and participation in the chapter, and support education and certification initiatives
    • Work other groups on the chapter board to support their initiatives to increase the value of IMA to our chapter membership
    • Support those initiatives that can optimize our position for the chapter competition and compensation programs from National
    • Improve Communications
      • New Member Orientation Program – Develop Member Sponsor Program
      • Formal Chapter Communications – Articles in Formal Communications
      • Conduct Follow-Up to Member Survey
    • Improve Participation
      • Incentives for Participation – “Chapter Bucks”, No/Low Cost for Attending Speaker Only
    • Increase Membership
    • Acquire New Members – Member Get a Member Program, Student Chapter Development
  • Member Services
    • Attain the minimum requirements to earn the “Outstanding” level of achievement
    • Provide services of value to our members that enhance the prestige of the IMA throughout the region
    • Grow the presence of the chapter through community service
  • Academic
    • Conduct a Case Competition locally.
    • Partner with academics to promote IMA and conduct CMA review course offerings.
  • Funding
    • Secure revenue sufficient to operate chapter and provide a quality and valued service to members on a balanced or surplus budget
    • Locate and develop sources of future funding to sustain chapter success
    • Possible sources – Fee Income: Dinner Meetings, Seminars, CMA Review Course Compensation Payments from Montvale: Membership retention & growth, CPE, Certification Advertising and Corporate Sponsorship: Web, Roster, Seminar, Dinner Meetings, Academic Case Competition & Newsletter sponsorships

  • Annual Bonus of $75 for net new “RE” members over Nat’l Budget
  • $3.50 Per “RE” Member New/ Renew
  • Growth % * 1000 points
  • Bonus 20 pts. for each % over Nat’l Budget
Education
  • $.65 Per Hour
  • Total Hours divided by Base RE Membership * 200 points
Certification
  • $15 Per CMA/CFM Part Passed
  • $30 Per CMA/CFM Certification Achieved
  • 150 Pts.each for meeting chap. quota of parts passed and certs. achieved
  • 1 Point per Part Passed over quota
  • 3 Points per Cert. Achieved over quota
Member Service
  • Guaranteed Minimum Monthly Total Payment of $25 for achieving Performance Goals
